The Education Foundation of Gilchrist County, Inc. was formed in 1991 to promote and enhance the quality of education in all Gilchrist County Public Schools.

The Foundation provides a means for business, community organizations and individuals an opportunity to support programs by allowing locally generated dollars to be used for specific projects. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3), tax exempt corporation.

The Foundation awarded $105,000.00 for the 2008-2009 year in scholarships for graduating seniors and adult residents pursuing a medical or law enforcement career.
